Beach and Navarre Beach have some of the prettiest
beaches with easy public access. Seashells are easy to find on the beach.
The white sand and green water is calming and peaceful. In the afternoon
there are fewer people on the beach. Can I use my own vows? Please feel free to do so. Wedding vows are meaningful words two people use to express their love for each other. By personalizing them, you create cherished memories that will last a lifetime. We can customize your vows for your beach wedding. There may be a prayer, blessing or reading you like and we will put in your ceremony. A family member may want to say a prayer or blessing. A romantic reading from a friend. It's up to you. We both have children from a previous marriage. Is it possible to include them in the ceremony? Yes! It's a great experience for children to be included in the ceremony. Some couples like to give a momento or piece of jewelry to each child. Remember that every child is different and some children don't like to speak in the presence of others. We can also say a family blessing rather than have children say vows. Is there a certain place where you perform beach weddings? Can I have my wedding at the condo where I'm staying? No. There are several areas on most beaches. Together we'll find the best place for you. Please remember all beaches are public beach areas so there will be other people on the beach. Most people on the beach will respect that this is your day. If you're staying on the beach in a rental house or condo, we can perform your beach wedding there. This is the most convenient for the wedding party. Encourage the guests coming to your wedding to get rooms there also. Group rates may be available. Remember to check with the management and see if they charge a fee for use of the beach, you would be responsible for this fee. I've seen brides with notebooks for their beach weddings. Does this really help? Yes! Start your beach wedding notebook as soon as you can. You'll want to keep all of your information in one place that's easy to get to. Have everything in it from where you'll be staying to your beach wedding theme colors. It will save you time and money in the long run having everything at your fingertips. We have helpful links to find nannies, wedding bands, gift baskets, etc. How should I wear my hair and makeup? What about bridal attire for bride and groom? You may want to wear your hair up or back from your face. The reason is there will probably be a breeze and it could blow your hair in your face. Waterproof mascara and makeup. Don't forget the sunscreen even if you have a base tan. If you're getting married in the winter, wear a good lotion or body cream with sunscreen. It will help insulate your skin if you want to wear a sleeveless or strapless gown. Brides can wear a gown, sundress, whatever their hearts desire. In the summer go for strapless, halter or short sleeve. You're in Florida and it's tropical. Men go for the short sleeve button down shirt with khaki slacks. Don't do tuxedos in the summer because it's still very warm even in the afternoon. Grooms will faint just as easily as brides will. And everyone kicks off their shoes and has their toes in the sand. It's very soothing. What about parking for my guests? It's something to think about. If you are having a large amount of people coming to your wedding you need to think about where they're going to park. If your guests aren't staying at your hotel or condo they may not be allowed to park there as parking is limited in certain cities, Destin being the top one of having limited parking. Parking is limited at publlic parks also. Many beach wedding companies use the parks at sunset and parking can be difficult. Your best answer with this situation is to have the majority of your guests staying at the same place you are. You can get group rates at many condos and hotels if you do this. Make sure the condo or hotel you're staying at will allow you to have your wedding on their beach. Some charge a fee and that would be something you would be responsible for. You don't want to find out at the last moment that your guests can't get to your wedding because someone didn't bother to tell you about parking.Pensacola Beach is better on parking. The reason is there is more public beach access. Navarre Beach is also better with many parking areas, if you get a beach house even better. I can't make up my mind what beach to stay on. What are some of the attractions the area offers? It really depends on what you're looking for. If you like to shop and and enjoy the nightlife it's Destin. Destin offers a wide variety of shops, restaurants, and lounges. So Destin may be what you're looking for. At Destin you'll have to drive where you want to go and traffic can be hectic especially in the summer. Pensacola Beach is smaller and more intimate. Pensacola Beach has a 22 mile stretch of beach. No houses, condos or hotels. Don't worry there's plenty of places to stay on the beach but there's also an area where there's nothing but pristine beach. If you're looking to get away from everything, Pensacola Beach is the area for you. Most everything is within walking distance of the hotels. You can go on dolphin cruises, deep sea fishing, sunset cruises at just about all beaches on the Emerald Coast. And just sitting on the beach can be very relaxing. You can pick your own personal taste in beaches by thinking about what you want. Navarre Beach is also a great place to get away from it all. On our links page you will find 1800beachhouse.
